The Sternai is designed for the way we move in the mountains. You get lightweight, thermo-regulating warmth where you need it with TirolWool® Responsive synthetic insulation packaged in a ripstop nylon shell. The bluesign® approved outer fabric has a DWR (durably water repellent) finish to protect from wind, rain and snow, while rugged Durastretch panels in the sleeves add additional breathability.

Hybrid, thermo-regulating insulationThe Sternai has a hybrid, bodymapped construction to meet the specific insulation needs of different areas of the body during high-octane activities in cold conditions. Its 60 g TirolWool® Responsive insulation fill still traps your heat when wet. TirolWool® was developed together with the Tirol Mountain Rescue and is sourced from alpine sheep. Responsive, our proprietary thermo-regulating technology, uses synthetic yarns loaded with thermoreactive minerals that recycle infrared energy back to the body to promote micro blood circulation. These unique abilities are maintained over the total product lifecycle and will not wear out.

The Sternai is named after the mountain of the same name (Italian: Cima Sternai; German: Hintere Eggenspitze) in the Ortler Alps, Italy. It has a tailored Durastretch hood, two zipped outer pockets and a full-length windproof flap behind the front zip. This jacket easily layers under any hardshell and stows down small into its integrated compression pouch.
